Photo collage experiment at the studio.
I shot this photo of Nick yesterday afternoon at the studio. It was fun to do and has a LOT of interesting potential. Personally, this is the type of stuff I absolutely love doing. What do you think?Click for a larger image...

Love it! :) We tried that once outside, but I like this better because of the lighting. Very cool way to show different sides of people's personalities.
I tried this with my daughter a couple years ago, and here's the result:

I'd be interested in hearing about the steps you followed in your editing process in Photoshop.
Basically, we just locked the camera down on a tripod. I moved around and jeff took the shots. I just had to make sure the way I was sitting wouldn't interfere too much with previous positions. And I had to try and get my sight lines right.
Once in Photoshop, all we had to do was open 1 image and copy paste the others on top of it. Since they were all exported at the exact same size and the camera never moved, everything was already lined up for us.
Then its just a matter of using layer masks to show the parts you want from each photo.
Perhaps we'll do a video tutorial on this soon :)
This is great guys! Did you use one artificial light source or two? And were the two more tedious portions of the editing your foot in position 1 (l to r) and the shadows?
Thanks for posting this! These can be really amazing but sort of intimidating at times. A video tutorial would be a great addition to lbobi!

This is awesome! But that Nick guy is kind of a weirdo, ha!
I would love to see how to work this with layers:-)!!!
