Camera test comparing the iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4.
I got a new iPhone 4 today and the first thing I tested was the camera; it did NOT disappoint.I know you guys were worried that it might take me until July 14th to get my phone but luckily was able to secure one today at the AT&T store. Of course the first thing I wanted to test was the camera. I love shooting pics with my iPhone and I have been waiting impatiently for a improved camera that has been hinted at for a while now. I am very excited to inform you that the new iPhone 4 camera is MUCH better than the 3Gs. The 3Gs was 3 megapixel and the iPhone 4 is 5 megapixels. I was curious how much better 2 megapixels would be.
Here is a very quick side by side comparison of the same subject. This was shot outdoors under the same lighting conditions. The iPhone 4 has much better tonal range and crispness to the image.

Maybe it is just the gorgeous Molly making it look good?Seriously.. what a difference. VERY excited to get one now :) I am on 3G (no s) and frustrated at the crappy quality I get sometimes. Camera improvement is due and looks like they delivered. ENJOY your new phone :)
So impressed by this MollyShot that I better have an IPhone 4 even without ATT service at the farm - want that camera! Maybe I could connect to you with a very long string.
Thanks for rubbin it in Mr. Ace. We'll be in Michigan for the 4th and Best Buy doesn't have our 4's yet! I would love to have that quality for the weekend. :(
