Facebook Headquarters - Built for Creativity

Here at lbobi, we talk a lot about fueling creativity. Well, I can't think of a better way to be creative than having this as your headquarters:

Looking at those pictures alone inspire me to want to create something. Imagine working in that kind of open environment, where if you're having a creative block, you can simply go play basketball on their personal court. Or give your brain a break in one of their lounges/break areas. For those of you interested, I've also embedded a video tour below. It's the best quality one I could find, but it's kind of long. But if you want to see and hear them explain the space in greater detail, it's worth the watch.

I think it's really interesting to see the difference between the employees at Facebook and the folks who are on the tour. It's like a meeting between old world business theory and the new-age business types. Note the casual dress, open flow of ideas, resourcefulness vs. suits and ties. I think it's very telling.

AND! I noticed a few women with their babies! That's awesome!

Nick, That is a great video tour of lbobi you posted.

I loved the questions. People can use whatever OS they want? The tone of the guy asking cracked me up. Having worked in an environment that was super super super tightly monitored, down to how many emails could be in your inbox at any given point, and what you called a file... i can understand this.

The offices are fun and open and busy, and despite the freedoms people seemed to be on task.
